My Mood board

In this mood board, I have included an array of images describing my interests and my creative brand. I have used a vibrant colour scheme consisting purple, pinks, blues, oranges, greens. I created this mood board on Canva. It consists of cameras, music equipment, my love for travel and jewellery. The two fonts are a radio style font and the other is a Times New Roman style, both with a connotation of my love for music. The tone of voice is presenting a way to get to know more about me through showing different things I enjoy to do.
My Solo Trip in Brazil
The first time I travelled solo was an experience I’ll never forget. In 2023, I went travelling around Brazil. Visiting family, seeing new places and studying the language further. A country so vibrant and filled with culture, music and history. I mainly stayed in Salvador, Brazil’s first capital with African roots. A city with rhythm, joy and colour. There is an abundance of beautiful beaches to explore, spotted along the coast. It was truly a contrast to my usual everyday life in UK. I stayed with a host family in a borough in Salvador called Pituba, it was my first time meeting them when I arrived there, but they made me feel very welcome there. Getting used to always speak Portuguese was something to get used to. I went to a course at a university nearby to improve my Portuguese.
Before starting my course, I travelled to see my family in Feria de Santana and Uaua further up in Bahia. In Uaua, it was a very special time for Brazilians as it is ‘Festa de São Joao’. A festival that is celebrated annually in June all over Brazil full of dancing, folk music and bonfire building. The town becomes decorated so vibrantly with bunting of all different colours.
Due to the distance, I’m unable to go to Brazil so regularly so it tends to be years between each visit. Every time reconnecting with family and friends having a big catch up of the time in between. As it was a solo trip, a lot of independence was gained. Navigating travel, exploring new places, learning about the culture. I stayed for 4 months and learnt a lot along the way.
